As a community, we must do better to ensure that, where animals are used, the research is both well designed and analysed as well as transparently reported.

The ARRIVE guidelines 2.0: Updated guidelines for reporting animal research, Percie du Sert et al., 2020

The ARRIVE guidelines were originally published in 2010 and aimed to improve the reporting standards in animal research.

ARRIVE 2.0, published in 2020, has updated the guidelines and produced a new set of 10 items, the Essential 10,  that form the minimum necessary information information needed for readers to assess the reliability of research.
