Research Models Retention Policy

With limited storage space available, and a growing overhead in terms of management, BVS requires that cryopreserved assets do not remain in storage ad infinitum. The retention policy sets out options available to manage these assets when the responsible person leaves the University, for any reason.

Please contact the Transgenic Technician to arrange export or transfer of your stored samples.

A list of names of samples in CTC's cryodatabase can be found below.

Please note that these samples:

• may be from mice, rats or zebrafish
• may be present or absent (thawed/exported)
• may not have been audited recently
• may not be viable
• may be sperm or embryos
